*The rating system was created primarily for suggesting balanced teams. A player's rating is their expected performance relative to their most recent performances and the ratings and performances of their opponents.
Since it allows for different players to use the same IP address, and players are not restricted to any one IP, name or client, there is no guarantee that all games for a single player will be tracked properly.
In an effort to increase rating accuracy, algorithms may be improved and ratings may be recalculated during maintenance windows to account for this, plus IP and name changes. There is a more robust identification system in progress.
